Steven Allen Boggs

Born in 1960 in Salina, Kansas, Steven Allen Boggs resides in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He studied at the Nashville School of Art, The Scottsdale Art Institute, and at workshops with Nelson Shanks, Gregg Kreutz, and Michael Shane Neal.

Steve’s paintings are in private collections in the United States, Canada, and Europe. He has won “Peoples Choice” awards, and has been a finalist in the “Top Ten in Tennessee” show by the Portrait Society of America.

Steve paints still life, landscapes, people portraits, and pet portraits. He is an artist that is truly dedicated to his craft. He paints daily with a focus on subjects that he is close to and feels a connection with. Using a palette dominated by earth tones he paints in layers to build up natural color and create solidity in the objects that he paints. Steve works in oils and watercolor.
